Here’s how the training works:

1. Jackie uses her right hand to place one treat on the floor, while the other treat is kept out of reach.

2. She uses her right hand to give the "Leave It" command and cover the treat on the floor.

3. The key is that Rex must remain calm and resist the treat, and only then does Jackie reward him.

4. Jackie picks up the "Leave It" treat with her right hand and drops the reward treat with her left hand, reinforcing the calm behavior.

This method teaches Rex self-control and helps him learn to focus on his handler's cues. Watch as Rex progresses with the "Leave It" command!
